SHA384 hash generator

This is a free online SHA384 hash generator

Use this generator to create an SHA384 hash of a string

How does SHA384 algorithm work?

SHA384 (Secure Hash Algorithm) is a cryptographic hash function designed by the National Security Agency (NSA). SHA384 produces a 384-bit (48-byte) hash value, typically rendered as a hexadecimal number, 96 digits long.

What is SHA384 used for?

Similar to Md5, sha256, SHA512, The computed hash value may then be used to verify the integrity of copies of the original data without providing any means to derive said original data.

Can SHA384 be decrypted?

SHA384 is not encryption, it's hashing. You can't decrypt it, that's the whole point with it. You use it by hashing other data and comparing the hash codes to determine if the data is identical to the original.

SHA384 in programming languages

Will the SHA384 cryptographic hash function output be same in all programming languages?
Yes, similar to Md5, sha256, SHA384 generates the same hash code for all programming languages.
